Behind this is a growing team of people who make our services possible, and we are now looking for a detail-focused, organised and proactive HR Administrator to join our People team.
The Role
As our HR Administrator, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support across the full employee lifecycle, helping ensure our People Operations function runs efficiently, consistently and compliantly.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you will take day-to-day responsibility for maintaining our HR system, coordinating employee lifecycle administration, supporting payroll and benefits processes, responding to routine HR enquiries and ensuring employee records remain accurate and up to date.
You will also play an important role in strengthening our People Operations processes as RTN continues to grow, identifying opportunities to improve systems, streamline administration and enhance the employee and manager experience.
Role Responsibilities
HR Systems & Employee Records
- Maintain accurate employee records within Personio throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Ensure contractual information, working patterns, employee details and organisational information remain accurate and up to date.
- Complete regular HR data audits, identifying discrepancies and maintaining the integrity of our HR systems.
- Process employee changes including salary changes, promotions, flexible working arrangements, contracted hours and job title changes.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee documentation and support routine HR and workforce reporting.
Employee Lifecycle Administration
- Coordinate HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including contractual changes, probation, employee confirmations and offboarding.
- Prepare and issue HR documentation including contract amendments, probation letters, salary review letters and flexible working correspondence.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure employee documentation is stored securely and in accordance with GDPR requirements.
- Process employment references and verification requests and ensure records are updated accurately when employees leave RTN.
Manager & Employee Support
- Act as a first point of contact for routine HR administrative queries from managers and employees.
- Manage the shared People Operations inbox, responding to queries and escalating more complex matters to the HR Manager where appropriate.
- Support managers with HR documentation, policies, guidance, templates and standard correspondence.
- Provide administrative support across processes including probation, absence management, performance management and flexible working.

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance
- Support the preparation of monthly payroll information, ensuring starters, leavers, contractual amendments and salary changes are accurately recorded.
- Administer employee benefits, ensuring enrolments, amendments and removals are processed accurately.
- Monitor Right to Work documentation and other mandatory employment records.
- Maintain accurate, secure and audit-ready HR records and support GDPR, HR audit and governance requirements.
People Operations & Service Improvement
- Support People Operations projects including workforce reporting, performance management, manager toolkits and process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes through automation and standardisation.
- Adapt quickly to new systems, processes and ways of working as RTN continues to grow.
- Contribute to improving People workflows and processes to create an efficient and positive experience for managers and employees.
About You
You are a highly organised and detail-focused HR professional who takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable and high-quality administrative support. You understand the importance of confidentiality, accurate record keeping and providing a positive employee experience.
You enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure People processes run smoothly, supporting managers and employees while identifying opportunities to make administration more efficient and consistent.
- Detail-Oriented: You have excellent attention to detail and are confident maintaining employee records, reviewing information and ensuring HR documentation remains accurate and compliant.
- Organised: You are able to manage multiple priorities, coordinate employee lifecycle activities and maintain accurate records while meeting deadlines.
- Communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable responding to employees, managers and colleagues across the organisation.
- Confidential: You understand the importance of handling sensitive employee information appropriately and maintaining high standards of GDPR compliance and confidentiality.
- Systems-Focused: You are confident using HR systems and technology, with experience using Personio or a similar HRIS.
- Collaborative: You build positive working relationships and enjoy supporting managers, employees and colleagues to deliver a consistent People experience.

Experience:
- Experience working in HR Administration, People Operations or a similar HR support role, including maintaining employee records and supporting administration across the employee lifecycle. Experience supporting payroll administration is also required.
- Experience working within a healthcare or regulated environment, supporting HR reporting and workforce data, or a CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous.

- Salary: £16,800 per annum for 22.5 hours per week, equivalent to £28,000 full-time.
- Flexibility: 100% remote working. The role is anticipated to work Monday to Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm, with the exact working pattern open to discussion.
