TEMPORARY HR ADMINISTRATOR

£20 Per Hour | Temporary (2-3 Months) | Immediate Start | Chelmsford - Must be a driver due to the location of this role. | Full time or Part Time considered

Are you an HR Administrator available for an immediate start? Our client, a well-established retail business based near Chelmsford, is looking to appoint a Temporary HR Administrator to provide vital cover for a period of 2-3 months.

This Temporary HR Administrator role is ideal for someone with solid HR administration experience who can hit the ground running. You will keep the day-to-day HR administration moving, supporting the wider HR function with onboarding, recruitment administration, and general employee lifecycle admin.

What the Temporary HR Administrator Role Involves

Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Admin:

  • Supporting the issuing of offer letters and contracts for new starters
  • Carrying out UK Right to Work and identification checks
  • Setting up electronic personnel files and maintaining accurate records on Fusion and Bright HR
  • Supporting new employee inductions, including issuing key fobs and allocating lockers
  • Tracking probation dates and helping to issue review and outcome letters
  • Supporting offboarding administration, including leaver letters and updating personnel files in line with UK GDPR

General HR Administration:

  • Using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive) to maintain HR trackers and digital filing
  • Supporting maternity, paternity, and sickness absence administration, including logging documentation
  • Raising purchase orders for HR-related invoices
  • Providing general ad-hoc administrative support to the HR team

Recruitment Support:

  • Assisting with uploading roles and updating vacancies
  • Arranging interview schedules and liaising with candidates
  • Providing general administrative support across the recruitment process

What We're Looking For In Our Temporary HR Administrator

  • Previous experience in an HR administration or HR assistant role
  • Good working knowledge of onboarding processes and Right to Work checks
  • Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Available for an immediate start and able to commit to a 2-3 month temporary assignment
