HR Administrator
Wetherby, LS22 5DZ
£26,000 To £30,000, Depending On Experience
Full time, permanent
9am to 5pm
Hybrid working from week one, with Mondays and Fridays normally working from home
Some HR Administrator roles involve supporting one company, using one system and following one familiar set of processes.
This is not one of those roles.
At HR180, we are more than an outsourced HR provider. We work as a genuine partner to our clients, which means understanding how each business works and adapting our support accordingly.
An offer letter for one client might be sent through Adobe Sign. Another may need to be checked by a manager first. For another client, it could be uploaded and issued through their own HR system.
The task may sound familiar, but the process behind it often will not be.
For the right person, that is exactly what makes this role so rewarding. You will gain broad, practical HR experience, work alongside experienced HR professionals and learn how different organisations manage every stage of the employee journey.
What You Will Be Doing
You will provide essential administrative support to our HR Advisors and Partners, helping them deliver a responsive and professional service to our clients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Preparing contracts, offer letters and new starter documents
- Managing leavers, probation reviews, references and right to work checks
- Organising hearings, meetings and interviews
- Taking accurate notes and preparing follow up correspondence
- Supporting disciplinary, grievance, maternity, absence and other employee relations processes
- Maintaining accurate records across several client HR systems
- Monitoring tasks, deadlines and outstanding actions
- Assisting with payroll preparation and reporting
- Supporting the onboarding of new clients

- Contributing to projects and process improvements
- Supporting our monthly networking event and wider office activities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You may move between several clients, systems and priorities during the same day, so keeping track of the detail is essential.
What Makes This Role Different?
The complexity does not come from one individual task. It comes from knowing how that task should be completed for each client.
You will need to learn different systems, templates, approval processes and service expectations. You will also need to understand which actions you can complete independently, when something needs checking and how to prioritise when several clients need support at once.
You will not be expected to know everything on your first day.
We are a team where people do not wait to be told, everyone takes responsibility and everyone has a voice. You will have plenty of support while you learn, but as your confidence grows, we will trust you to think, take ownership and get things moving.
The Person We Are Looking For
You Will Probably Enjoy This Role If You
- Like variety and are energised by a busy working day
- Learn new systems and processes confidently
- Can switch between tasks without losing important details
- Enjoy solving problems rather than waiting for every step to be explained
- Take ownership and follow things through properly
- Can prioritise calmly when several things need attention
- Communicate professionally and confidently
- Know when to act independently and when to ask for guidance
- Care about accuracy and confidentiality
- Bring personality, resilience and a good sense of humour. HR180 even lists gallows humour as one of its six things to know about the team!
Previous HR experience would be useful, but it is not essential.
You may also have developed the right skills within recruitment, payroll, legal services, financial services, accountancy, consultancy, client support, executive assistance or another complex administration environment.
Your ability to learn, adapt, organise and take responsibility is more important than having completed every HR task before.
