Our client, a leading logistics company based in Birmingham, is looking for an enthusiastic HR Administrator to join their expanding team, working closely with the Head of HR who is highly experienced and passionate.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within an administrative level role, either within an HR administration role or a more general HR role with a keen interest in pursuing a career in HR.
HR Administrator Duties
- Administration and Record keeping
- Maintain accurate employee records on HR system.
- Prepare HR documentation, to include contracts and policies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection.
- Compile data on HR metrics.
- Recruitment and Onboarding
- Draft and post job adverts.
- Coordinate interviews.
- Conduct reference and background checks.
- Prepare offer letters and contracts of employment.
- Support with inductions.
- Employee Lifecycle
- Administer changes to employment contracts.
- Support onboarding process.
- Benefits and Payroll
- Assist with employee benefits administration.
- Liaise with payroll and finance teams, providing admin support.
- Deal with employee queries related to pay and benefits.
- HR Policies
- Support implementation of new policies.
- Ensure compliance with employment law.
- Maintain employee handbook.
- Employee Support
- Deal with HR queries from employees and managers.
- Provide guidance on processes.
- Organise training.

The HR Administrator will have:
- 2 years+ experience in an administration role.
- Experience and/or desire to work in an HR capacity.
- Desire to progress and learn, but within a realistic timeframe.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- A proactive mindset.
- The desire to work as part of a team.
- An ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

- Competitive salary of £30,000 depending on experience.
