Job opportunity: HR Administrator

Working pattern

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in office

Location

Vitacress Herbs, Lagness Road, Runcton, Chichester PO20 1LJ

Salary

£26,780 and eligible for our company incentive scheme

In this role you'll...

  • Be the first point of contact for colleagues across the business, delivering a professional and supportive HR service.
  • Support our People Partners and the wider HR team with day-to-day HR activities and administration.
  • Maintain accurate colleague records and ensure employee information is updated within the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Help create a positive employee experience by managing HR communications and responding to colleague queries.
  • Assist with employee relations, absence management, learning and development, and colleague benefit programmes.
  • Play a key role in ensuring HR processes remain compliant, efficient and aligned with business needs.

You'll do this for us by...

  • Managing HR administration activities, maintaining records, updating systems, and supporting HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Responding to HR enquiries promptly through inbox management, virtual support and face-to-face interactions with colleagues and managers.
  • Monitoring absence records, updating trackers, and supporting our People Partners in ensuring policies and procedures are followed consistently.
  • Producing and maintaining HR KPI reports, analytics and employee relations trackers to support decision making.
  • Supporting payroll processes through accurate HRIS data entry and ensuring right-to-work checks are completed in line with legal requirements.
  • Promoting and administering colleague benefits, reward and recognition schemes, while supporting learning and development initiatives across the business.

You can do this if you have...

  • Previous experience in an administrative role with strong organisational and record-keeping skill
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to supporting colleagues and managers.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads, manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous HR administration experience, HRIS knowledge, payroll exposure, or experience within manufacturing, FMCG or operational environments would be advantageous, full training on all our systems will be provided
