Job Summary
Our Graduate HR Administrator supports the HR Team in delivering a professional, efficient and accurate HR support across the business. The role is designed for a recent graduate seeking to develop a career in Human Resources and provides exposure to a broad range of HR activities including onboarding, HRIS system administration, supporting employee lifecycle processes, benefits administration and HR project support.
Working closely with the HR Team and wider business stakeholders, the Graduate HR Administrator will develop practical HR knowledge while contributing to the delivery of key people processes.
Responsibilities
Some of the main responsibilities of the Graduate HR Administrator will include:
- Be a key contact for new employees, creating a positive onboarding experience from offer acceptance through to their first day by coordinating the end-to-end onboarding process, preparing contracts and documentation, arranging inductions, managing HR system records.
- Become a key user of Vulcain’s HR Information System, My people Hub, maintaining accurate employee records and helping ensure our people data remains a trusted source of information for the business.
- Support the employee journey at every stage with administration of employee lifecycle changes.
- Assist with employee vetting, compliance and Right to Work activities, helping the business meet legal and client requirements.
- Assist with payroll preparation and employee changes, ensuring information is accurate, timely and well managed.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve employee experience and make better use of technology.
- Gain exposure to employee relations activities, supporting meetings, note taking, case administration and documentation while developing your understanding of HR best practice.
- Produce basic reports and information from HR systems, developing confidence in data handling and reporting.
- Support employees with navigating HR systems and processes, promoting self-service and confidence in HR technology.
- Continuously develop your HR knowledge and professional capability, building towards a successful career in Human Resources.

Requirements
Alongside a commitment to our values of Care & Compassion, Performance, Team Spirit, and Inclusiveness, we are looking for individuals who can bring the following:
- Degree qualified (ideally in Business Management, Human Resources or a related discipline)
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 applications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
- Professional, approachable and customer focused.
- Willingness to learn and develop HR knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships quickly.
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Please note that this role requires eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance. Due to vetting requirements, applicants will typically need to have resided in the UK for a continuous period and have the independent right to work in the UK.
