Are you an organised, proactive HR Administrator looking for a part-time opportunity where you can make a real difference?

We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Administrator to join the team on a 6-month contract, providing valuable day-to-day support to the HR Manager across a broad range of HR activities. This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent attention to detail and is confident managing confidential information and multiple priorities.

Location: Kenley

Rate: £15.00 per hour

Hours: 24 hours per week – flexible working pattern to be agreed

Start Date: 5th October 2026

Contract: 6 months plus

About The Role

You’ll play an important role across HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, DBS and compliance, training and development, payroll support and general HR projects, with training provided where required.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Support the recruitment process in line with the organisation's Safer Recruitment Policy.
  • Assist with job advertising, candidate shortlisting and arranging interviews.
  • Complete recruitment and compliance checks and prepare offer letters.
  • Support the onboarding process for new starters.

HR Administration

  • Manage the HR inbox, responding to queries and escalating more complex matters to the HR Manager.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, trackers and filing systems in line with GDPR and HMRC requirements.
  • Coordinate paperwork relating to new starters, leavers and employee changes for monthly payroll processing.
  • Prepare HR letters, documentation and correspondence in line with company standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager with employee relations casework.

DBS & Compliance

  • Applying for DBS certificates for staff and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring DBS Update Service subscriptions are maintained.
  • Maintaining the Single Central Record and ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.

Training & Development

  • Support the HR Manager with the organisation's Mandatory Learning & Development programme.
  • Allocate mandatory training to employees and communicate training requirements to managers and staff.
  • Maintain the company training matrix and provide monthly updates to managers.
  • Monitor completion of training and ensure certificates are accurately recorded and filed.

Payroll & Accounts Support

  • Provide Payroll with information regarding changes that may affect employee pay, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure agency worker profiles, inductions and supporting documentation are complete.
  • Liaise with Accounts regarding invoices and payments relating to HR activities.

About You

  • Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, People Administrator or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of general HR administration and recruitment processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling confidential records.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
  • A high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Experience of DBS checks, safer recruitment, Ofsted or education-sector compliance would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
