Crowne Plaza Nottingham is looking for an HR Administrator

Crowne Plaza Nottingham is looking for an HR Administrator to keep the people side of the hotel running accurately, on time, and with the right level of care for confidential information.

The Role

This role sits at the centre of the hotel's people processes — part data, part onboarding, part general manager support. You'll be the first point of contact for team member queries on people reporting, and the person making sure records, files and systems stay accurate as people join, move through, and leave the business. Day to day, you'll:

  • Keep HR systems updated with accurate, current data, and run regular audits and data-cleansing across those systems
  • Act as the first point of contact for Team Member queries relating to people reporting
  • Develop and improve team reporting so it stays relevant as the business changes
  • Support the recruitment process, helping Heads of Department set up interviews and communicate with candidates
  • Deliver induction and onboarding for every new starter, so they get a proper welcome from day one
  • Maintain a complete personnel file for each team member — application form, offer letter, contract, references, declarations, signed job description, induction receipt, working time directive documentation and right-to-work evidence
  • Keep statutory training records current, and coordinate attendance on company training courses, including pre- and post-course briefings with managers
  • Take minutes at management meetings, and type and distribute them accordingly
  • Monitor sickness and absence levels, track lost productivity, and ensure return-to-work meetings happen promptly
  • Provide administrative support to the General Manager, including letters, reports, meeting organisation and confidential material
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings and hotel planners across the team
  • Handle telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries professionally and responsively
  • Support the General Manager, Operations Manager and Department Managers with employee relations documentation and team member celebrations
  • Keep Team Member notice boards, including the Internal Vacancy Board, tidy and up to date with current legislation and company information
  • Coordinate work experience placements with local schools, colleges and universities
  • Handle all confidential information professionally and discreetly at all times
  • Follow cash and key handling, fire, security (including GDPR and PCI DSS), and Health & Safety procedures as laid down by the hotel and company
  • Comply with hotel and company rules as set out in the team member handbook
  • Represent the business's cultural values — passionate, real, inspiring, dynamic and enthusiastic — day to day

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
