As a HR Administrator you will work with and support the entire Human Resources team, ensuring the provision of an efficient and effective service to its internal and external customers.

The central administration role has much focus on multi-skilling across the whole division with a strong emphasis on team working, operating with a forward thinking, ‘one team’ approach and providing cover as required to support and meet the changing priorities of the business. You will also provide an efficient and helpful service with a focus on how we can help with requests and support in achieving desired outcomes in the best way.

What The Role Will Look Like

Working within the centralised administration team you will support the HR team in the areas of:

  • Employee Relations
  • Recruitment
  • Payroll
  • Learning and Development
  • Management Information

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering general calls and emails for the HR team, providing information and solutions where appropriate, taking messages and/or signposting to the relevant person/team.
  • Monitoring and smooth running of employee communication via department mailboxes including People Support, Payroll, and Learning and Development.
  • Ensuring all input work of payroll for employees and pensioners are completed accurately and timely, in adherence with legislation and internal procedures.
  • Responsibility of administrative processing of reward, recognition, and benefit schemes (e.g. Salary reviews, Performance Related Pay, Pension, Annual leave, Maternity/Paternity, Sick pay, Bus passes, Childcare vouchers, Car scheme, etc.).
  • Supporting the post-recruitment employee life cycle providing administrative support with all internal letters regarding contractual and non-contractual changes in line with policy and procedure.
  • Ensuring accurate employment records to support the above via the Electronic Document Management system and process (EDM) and local HR files.
  • The maintenance of all HR systems including Agresso, Recruitment Management system, and Learning Management system, ensuring records are accurate and updated in a timely manner in line with the specific supporting process (i.e. new starter, leaver etc.).
  • The responsibility for ensuring all data held on the above systems is ‘clean’ to ensure that reports and data provided to the HR team are presented in a format that is accurate and reliable and ready for further analysis.
  • Supporting more specific HR tasks aligned to policies and benefits including Flexible Holidays, Flexible Working, Attendance Management, Family Leave, Gifts and Hospitality, and the collation of performance data. Providing data and information to the team by interrogating the various internal systems to support the provision of quality management information and data for further analysis.

What You Will Bring To The Role

  • Strong administrative experience and the ability to work as part of a central service team.
  • The ability to recognise and work with information of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Ideally hold a CIPD level 3, if the successful candidate does not hold a relevant qualification, they will be required to start (or currently working towards) a 'Level 3 - HR Support' apprenticeship.
  • The ability to focus on continuous improvement within the team, questioning and challenging to find the best/most efficient way to provide a service to the team and business.
  • Fully PC literate and up to date with all core Microsoft applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organisational skills and proven track record of excellent customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to complete a number of tasks simultaneously and prioritise to meet the needs of the business.
