HR Advisor | Birmingham - Hybrid Working | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Professional Services Firm | up to £40,000

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our people team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded HR professional to work within a fast-paced professional services environment, partnering with managers and employees across a diverse business. Reporting into the HR Business Partner, you will provide high-quality generalist HR support, ensuring people initiatives and employee relations matters are managed effectively while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Support the delivery of HR policies, procedures, and best practice across the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support organisational and people-related initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and talent management activities.
  • Support performance review and development processes.
  • Analyse HR data and provide insights to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure HR records and documentation are maintained accurately and in line with employment legislation.
  • Contribute to ongoing HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience working as an HR Advisor within a professional services environment.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong employee relations experience and employment law knowledge.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A confident, solutions-focused approach with strong commercial awareness.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
