Overview
HR Advisor Humdinger Bromborough, Wirral
We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team, supporting managers and colleagues across our peanut factory in Bromborough. This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll influence every stage of the employee lifecycle. A typical day might see you managing a complex employee relations case, coaching a manager through a people challenge, welcoming new starters to the business, delivering engagement activities, or partnering with our employee-led business improvement group to improve the employee experience. Based at our Bromborough site and reporting to the HR Lead, you'll work closely with managers and employees on-site while also collaborating with the wider HR team across our UK locations. Position Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle activities.
- Deliver employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing activities and communication programmes.
- Maintain HR systems, employee records and reporting data.
- Support organisational change, restructures and HR projects.
- Assist with training, talent development and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in a HR Advisor/generalist HR role within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proven experience supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures, consultations, business transformation projects and embedding new ways of working.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations and HR best practice, with the confidence to manage complex and sensitive cases independently.
- Experience working in a site-based HR role, partnering closely with operational leaders to provide visible, hands-on HR support and pragmatic solutions.
- Demonstrable ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels, including working effectively with demanding or resistant managers.
- Strong relationship-building and coaching skills, with the ability to gain buy-in, navigate conflicting priorities and drive positive outcomes.
- Experience managing multiple projects and delivering against competing priorities in a changing business environment.
- Resilient, adaptable and confident working in ambiguity, with a proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance operational HR activity alongside strategic change and project work.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience), with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Humdinger Bromborough (Wirral) is a major UK nut processing and packing site, employing around 200 people within a 67,000 sq. ft purpose-built facility. The site has a long heritage in nut and peanut processing and became part of Humdinger in 2023. Today, Bromborough processes and packs over 23,000 tonnes per year, supplying high-quality nut snacks, peanut products and ingredients across retail, food service and ingredient channels. With a strong focus on allergen control, dry roasting expertise and operational excellence, the site plays a critical role in delivering safe, compliant and high-quality snacking products to customers.
