About The Role
We are partnering with a values-led renewable energy organization to recruit an experienced HR Advisor. This pivotal role involves supporting the full employee lifecycle, offering expert employee relations guidance, coaching managers, and driving HR process improvements. Reporting directly to the Head of People, the HR Advisor will play a vital role in cultivating a positive, engaged, and high-performing workplace culture. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing organization committed to sustainability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The HR Advisor will also assist in the development and optimization of the company's recently implemented People system, streamlining processes to enhance the overall employee experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of management are essential. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving. Confidence in managing sensitive employee situations with professionalism and discretion is crucial. A background in supporting HR systems and processes, along with a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture, will be highly valued.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a broad range of people-related matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance issues.
- Support investigations, hearings, and employee relations processes, ensuring fair and consistent handling of cases.
- Coach managers through complex employee situations, promoting best practices and legal compliance.
- Coordinate and actively participate in regular People meetings, tracking actions and providing practical solutions to HR challenges.
- Assist with probation reviews, salary reviews, and other performance management activities.
- Support recruitment efforts as needed, including interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes to enhance the employee experience.
- Prepare accurate people reports and support performance review processes, ensuring data integrity.
- Manage payroll-related information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in data submission.
- Respond promptly to queries received via the People inbox, providing professional and helpful support.
- Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts, supporting the development of HR systems and processes.
- Assist in identifying training and development needs, supporting the delivery of learning initiatives.
- Promote employee wellbeing and engagement activities, fostering a positive organizational culture.
- Coordinate employee events and initiatives that strengthen team cohesion and company values.

Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from approximately £40,000 to £45,000, depending on experience. The role offers hybrid working arrangements, with two days per week in the office located in Shepton Mallet.
