About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and HR Advisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our organisation’s people strategy. This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a hands-on approach to deliver a wide range of generalist HR activities, including talent management, employee relations, colleague engagement, induction processes, HR reporting, organisational restructures, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Management

  • Support the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and deliver talent management initiatives to support employee growth and career progression.
  • Assist with succession planning to ensure business continuity.

Employee Relations

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and organisational policies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Colleague Engagement

  • Plan and implement engagement initiatives to enhance employee morale and satisfaction.
  • Analyse engagement surveys and develop action plans to address feedback.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organisation.

Induction and Onboarding

  • Manage and continuously improve the induction programme to provide a welcoming and effective start for new hires.
  • Partner with managers to ensure successful integration of new employees into teams.

HR Reporting

  • Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to turnover, absence, and engagement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve HR practices.

Organisational Restructures

  • Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and redundancy processes.
  • Provide guidance on best practices and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to minimise disruption.

Policy Development

  • Review, update, and develop HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes and organisational goals.
  • Ensure policies are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the organisation.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in the UK.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in organisational change and restructures.
  • Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting tools.
