HR Advisor - 6-month contract, poss extension

Are you experienced with high volume ER cases, updating policies and supporting line managers with advice?

Location: Richmond with on-site parking

Annual Salary: £35,000 plus benefits including 22 days holiday plus BH, 26% pension contribution, wellbeing activities including yoga session, wine socials, use of on-site gym and restaurant discount!

Working Pattern: 36 hours, 7.2 hour days, Monday to Friday, flexible working is offered for start & end time

Start date: As soon as possible

Hybrid offered: 3 days in the office and 2 at home

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their dynamic HR team! This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an organisation that values its employees and fosters a supportive work environment!

As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in managing employee relations cases and providing proactive and practical support on updating HR policies, procedures, and best practises. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating closely with management to enhance the overall employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance on high volume cases including attendance management, performance issues, disciplinary processes, and grievance handling.
  • Policy Management: Coordinate updates to HR policies, ensuring alignment with best practices and legislative requirements.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in monthly payroll reconciliation and manage complex pension queries.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse trends and issues to support the HR team in proactive decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Support: Acting as a key HR point of contact for line managers and internal stakeholders, delivering expert advice and support in line with company policies and best practice.

What we need from you:

  • CIPD Level 3 or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Experience of managing employee relations cases.
  • Experience of updating policies and procedures.
  • Confident and articulate communicator, able to build rapport and trust with people at all levels.
  • Experience using initiative in problem solving and decision making on issues with some degree of complexity, able to exercise good judgement on when to escalate.
  • Proven ability to manage own time and prioritise work.
  • Experience of HR systems and reporting, including MS Office products, ideally Workday.
