About The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the Transport & Logistics Department within a dynamic agricultural estate environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to be directly involved in site operations, working closely with site leadership to influence and implement effective HR strategies. The HR Advisor will serve as a vital link between management and employees, providing expert guidance on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and development initiatives. This position is primarily based on-site, with travel required across multiple farming locations to support operational needs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, making a tangible impact on the workforce and overall site performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a HR Advisor or in a similar generalist HR role, preferably within manufacturing, food production, or fast-paced environments.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, including handling conduct, capability, and grievance cases.
  • Excellent understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.
  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively with managers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Practical and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate efficiently under pressure.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards it is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations cases, including conduct, capability, and grievance procedures, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Support absence management programs and develop retention strategies to maintain a motivated workforce.
  • Partner with site managers to enhance employee performance, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Assist in recruitment activities, including interviewing, onboarding, and integrating new hires into the organization.
  • Deliver or facilitate training and development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate HR data within systems, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Support internal audits, monitor KPIs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel to different farming sites as needed to provide HR support and ensure consistency across operations.
