Company: MCR Property Group

Location: Ardwick office based

Duration: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £33,000 to £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

About MCR Property Group

MCR Property Group is a property business of more than 500 people, operating through four specialist companies covering residential, PBSA (purpose built student accommodation), industrial and commercial. Founded in Manchester, the group manages the whole property lifecycle, from acquisition and development through to leasing, operation and asset management. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an HR Advisor who will help us support and develop our people.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on day to day HR queries across the group
  • Provide clear, practical advice on policies, contracts and employment procedures
  • Support employee relations casework, including absence, disciplinary and grievance matters, and take accurate notes at meetings
  • Support the recruitment and payroll team with all aspects of the onboarding process
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding, ensuring every new starter and leaver has a smooth experience
  • Remain up to date with all employment legislation
  • Maintain accurate employee records and keep the HR system up to date
  • Prepare HR reports on headcount, absence and turnover for managers
  • Support probation reviews, performance processes and annual HR cycles
  • Help promote employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement across the team
  • Support organisational change, restructures and TUPE processes

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Officer role
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification, or working towards it
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience of supporting straightforward employee relations cases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
  • A discreet, professional approach to confidential information
  • Ability to work from our Ardwick office
