HR Advisor – Permanent Full-Time Role
About the Role
Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment? Do you enjoy partnering with leaders to shape culture, performance, and engagement? If so, join GXO, a Tier One partner to NNB at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s most significant nuclear energy projects. We will support you in playing a pivotal role in delivering a proactive, high-quality HR service across the site.
As an HR Advisor, you’ll report to the HR Business Partner and serve as a trusted advisor to managers, helping drive performance, engagement, and a positive workplace culture aligned to GXO’s values.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with flexibility required due to the demands of logistics operations.

Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to provide expert guidance on:
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Best practice HR processes
- Manage end-to-end HR casework, including:
- Absence
- Disciplinary matters
- Grievances
- Trade union affairs
- Deliver key people processes, such as:
- Probation
- Flexible working requests
- Maternity/paternity support
- Engagement activities
- Support recruitment and onboarding, ensuring compliance and high-quality talent selection
- Drive HR insight and improvement, including:
- Analysing absence and turnover data
- Contributing to the site people plan
Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it) with a proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused approach.
- Proven HR Advisor experience with:
- Strong exposure to employee relations in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent:
- Communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build credibility across all levels
- Strong organisation and prioritisation abilities to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Good knowledge of:
- UK employment law
- HR best practice
- Trade union matters (ideally prior experience)
