HR - Taiko Acton- BONSAI

Contract: Full Time
Salary: up to £42,000
Contracted Hours: 40

Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

You will be an experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background and practical experience managing employee relations cases. You will have a good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice, with the confidence to provide clear, pragmatic advice to managers and employees.

You will be a strong communicator who can build trusted relationships across all levels of the business, with the ability to coach and support line managers in handling people-related matters effectively. You will be organised, resilient and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Discretion and confidentiality are essential, as is a genuine interest in employee engagement and creating a positive workplace culture.

The role is predominantly site-based, with an expectation to work on site four days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle, ensuring a fair, consistent and legally compliant approach.
  • Manage and support employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability matters.
  • Coach and develop line managers to build their confidence and capability in managing people-related issues.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures and employment practices are consistently applied and aligned with UK employment legislation.
  • Support managers with effective people management, employee engagement and performance initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, ensuring all casework and documentation is managed appropriately.
  • Identify people-related trends and work with the wider HR team to develop practical solutions and continuous improvements.
  • Act as a visible and approachable HR presence on site, building strong relationships with employees and supporting a positive and engaged workplace culture.
