Your new company

I am delighted to be working with a well-established organisation on the recruitment for an experienced HR Advisor to join its growing People team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, managing a varied employee relations caseload, and partnering with operational leaders to drive positive people outcomes.

Based on-site, you will support a business area across the region, acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees. The role will involve occasional travel, typically once per month, to sites within your allocated region.

Your new role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide proactive HR advice and guidance to managers on a broad range of employee relations matters.
  • Manage ER cases from initial consultation through to conclusion, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance, conduct and capability cases.
  • Coach and support managers to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures and employment legislation.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across your designated business area.
  • Identify trends and themes from casework and provide recommendations to improve people practices.
  • Support organisational initiatives and HR projects across the employee lifecycle.
  • Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal processes.
  • Promote a positive employee experience through a pragmatic, commercially focused and people centred approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
