People Experience Advisor
As a People Experience Advisor, you will provide practical, accurate, and employee-focused support across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a first point of contact for managers and employees, you will advise on people policies and processes, manage routine and moderately complex employee relations matters, and help ensure a consistent, high-quality service.
You will work closely with the wider People Experience team, triaging casework and escalating complex, high-risk, or business-critical matters to the People Experience Partner. You will also contribute to people projects, policy development, and continuous improvement activity.
The Role
- Provide timely and accurate advice to employees and managers on people policies, procedures, and day-to-day queries.
- Triage employee relations cases, independently managing lower to moderate-risk matters and escalating complex cases appropriately.
- Support formal processes including disciplinary, grievance, absence, probation, and performance matters through effective coordination, documentation, and guidance.
- Maintain accurate case records and employee data in line with privacy, confidentiality, and data-management requirements.
- Support employee lifecycle activity, including onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes, and benefits or payroll coordination where required.
- Coordinate client vetting requirements, monitor progress, and support the delivery of relevant service measures.
- Support policy reviews, research, communications, and the implementation of process or legislative changes.
- Contribute to People Experience projects focused on employee engagement, experience, and operational improvement.
- Work collaboratively within the people experience team and with wider business stakeholders to support team and organizational priorities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
