Role Overview
To contribute to the overall success of the HR agenda in delivering a proactive and customer-focused HR service by providing effective support, guidance, and advice to managers and staff members on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee relations, policy and process, recruitment, and the delivery of key projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers, supporting the effective resolution of complex and sensitive employee relations issues.
- Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Support the implementation and embedding of HR strategies and initiatives across the organisation.
- Manage and support complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, and absence management matters.
- Draft HR documentation, contractual amendments, and correspondence in line with employment legislation and best practice.
- Build strong working relationships with managers to understand business needs and provide appropriate HR support.
- Support recruitment activity, including job descriptions, person specifications, job evaluations, and selection processes.
- Deliver HR engagement activities, including new starter inductions and first-line support for HR enquiries.
- Produce HR data analytics and reports, maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy at all times.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, practices, and technology solutions.

- Experience of employee relations and absence management casework.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and procedures.
- Ability to manage difficult situations and influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent levels of customer service and HR best practice.
- Willingness to travel to other company sites.
