HR Advisor

MAN Commercial Protection are delighted to offer the position of HR Advisor to join our friendly, busy team based in Shirley, Solihull.

This is an office-based role, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

This is a hands-on generalist HR Advisor role where you will work closely with managers and employees to provide day-to-day HR support.

You will be responsible for HR administration, employee relations, training, probation management, and ensuring HR processes are delivered in line with company policies and UK Legislation.

The Role:

  • Maintain HR records and personal files to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Assist the HR Manager with day-to-day requirements within the department
  • Act as the point of contact for managers, employees, and other HR team members
  • Address employee requests and potential issues that arise daily via email and telephone
  • Handle full caseload of both complex and non-complex HR issues
  • Ensuring people management practices and procedures that are in place are adhered to fairly and effectively
  • Deliver training to team members, managers, and site supervisors when needed
  • To keep up to date on employment legislation and any changes
  • Consulting on issues related to workplace relations and performance management
  • Dealing with any HR queries posed by managers and employees
  • Any other duties that may be required

About You:

  • Previous experience working within HR
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 or working towards
  • Strong generalist HR admin experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and employment law
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work across departments.
  • Confidence in challenging managers and providing advice and training when needed.
