About the Role

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an HR Advisor for our Primark Thrapston site. You’ll be a key partner to operational leaders, delivering a proactive and hands-on HR Service across warehouse and transport operations. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving engagement, shaping culture, and supporting both people and performance.
Job Details
- Type: Full-time, permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00
- Location: On-site at Primark Thrapston
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
- Annual Leave: 25 days (plus bank holidays)

Responsibilities
- Providing expert HR advise to managers on employee relations, performance, and people management
- Managing end-to-end absence, disciplinary, grievance, and long-term sickness cases
- Walking the floor to build relationships and ensure a visible, approachable HR presence
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and talent development initiatives
- Analysing HR data and supporting the delivery of the site people plan and broader HR strategy
Requirements
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards this)
- Experience: Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong employee relations exposure
- Knowledge: Solid knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice
- Skills:
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
