Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: Bristol, UK
Onsite/Hybrid: Predominantly Office Based (flexibility with working from home options)
About the Role:
Geoquip Marine is a specialist offshore geotechnical engineering company supporting the offshore energy, renewables and infrastructure sectors worldwide. Our people combine technical expertise with practical project delivery, working together to deliver safe, reliable and efficient solutions across the globe.
What you'll do:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across a variety of HR activities, building strong relationships and making a positive impact on employee experience. As our HR Advisor, you will provide generalist HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, while developing your knowledge of international HR practices, particularly across our operations in Switzerland and other European locations.
- Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to employees and managers across the business.
- Supporting employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, conduct and grievances.
- Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Supporting payroll processes, employee benefits administration and performance appraisals.
- Producing HR reports and insights to support effective business decisions.
- Providing HR support across our international offices, developing an understanding of Swiss employment practices and other European employment requirements.
- Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and employee communications.
- Contributing to HR projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes and employee experience.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the People Team and wider business to deliver consistent and effective HR support.

Who we're looking for:
- CIPD Level 3 qualification is essential, with a commitment to working towards CIPD Level 5.
- Previous experience in a generalist HR role, supporting a range of activities across the employee lifecycle.
- Experience in HR administration, maintaining employee records and using HR information systems.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and data protection regulations.
- An interest in developing knowledge of international HR practices, particularly within Switzerland and other European countries.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A proactive, approachable and flexible attitude, with a willingness to support a variety of HR activities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Willingness to travel when required.
