About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated People & Culture Advisor to join our team at Gregory. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between management and employees, providing first-line support on a wide range of HR-related matters. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver strategic and professional advice to our managers and staff, ensuring that employee relations are managed effectively and in accordance with company policies and employment law. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a positive workplace culture, support employee engagement initiatives, and help foster an environment where everyone can thrive. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive workplace environment.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Prior experience in a similar HR advisory role is preferred, with a strong understanding of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. A proactive approach to problem-solving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are also important. Familiarity with HR software and systems will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial first-line professional advice and guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Support managers with absence management, including handling cases of absence without leave (AWOL), disciplinary procedures, and grievance processes.
  • Assist in the resolution of employee issues, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the organization.
  • Signpost employees and managers to relevant policies, resources, and support services to promote a positive work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and organizational culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee interactions, disciplinary actions, and other HR-related documentation.
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture Business Team to support strategic HR projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies at all times.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay current with HR best practices and legal requirements.
