About The Role

This is a Part-Time Position - 22.5 hours per week spread over either 3 full days or 5 part time days.

We are seeking a proactive and HR Advisor to join our team and play a key role in supporting our organisation’s people strategy. This is a dynamic and varied role, requiring a hands-on approach to deliver a wide range of generalist HR activities, including employee relations, colleague engagement, induction processes, HR reporting, organisational restructures, and policy development.

Key responsibilities

Employee Relations

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and organisational policies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

Colleague Engagement

  • Plan and implement engagement initiatives to enhance employee morale and satisfaction.
  • Analyse engagement surveys and develop action plans to address feedback.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organisation.

Induction and Onboarding

  • Manage and continuously improve the induction programme to provide a welcoming and effective start for new hires.
  • Partner with managers to ensure successful integration of new employees into teams.

HR Reporting

  • Prepare and analyse HR metrics and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to turnover, absence, and engagement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve HR practices.

The ideal candidate will have the following

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Experience working in a HR role / environment.
  • CIPD is advantageous but qualifications can be provided for the right person.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
