About The Role

Pertemps Edinburgh Contracts seeks an HR Advisor for a public sector client in Edinburgh City Centre. This full-time, temporary position runs for three months with possible extension, paying £16.07 per hour. You will work 36 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with hybrid arrangements requiring office presence on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Joining an established HR team, you will handle first-point-of-contact queries, answer calls, and deliver advice aligned with policies and legislation. Responsibilities include:

Required

The successful candidate will be joining an established HR team who are required to have confidence and are able to answer queries effectively at first point of contact. You will be carrying out, but not be limited to:

  • Answering calls
  • Providing advice and guidance in accordance with company policies and legislation
  • Coaching Hiring Managers to build confidence
  • Guiding managers towards independent problem solving
  • Adding detailed case notes to the system during live calls
  • Managing your own caseload
  • Taking ownership of queries and cases
  • Any other tasks as required
