Hybrid working
This Police Staff role adheres to Corporation of London’s hybrid working policy, which requires a 60% office attendance rate. The specifics of this will be discussed locally with your hiring manager if you’re successful for the role.

About The Team
The HR team sits within our Corporate Services Directorate and is responsible for all HR matters within the City of London Police. This role sits within the HR Business Partnerships team, who provide a service to each of our four Directorates aligning HR activity to operational priorities.
About The Role
In this varied role you will ensure ER matters are progressing in a timely manner, to include attendance management, occupational health referrals, disciplinary activity, performance management and grievances. In addition you will be supporting the HR Business Partnerships team in the coordination of regular meetings and activity which support the high quality service delivered to Directorates. You will have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of policy and project work across the HR spectrum.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be:
- Provide a generalist HR support and advisory service to managers and employees across the full range of HR issues (sickness, discipline, performance management, recruitment) referring to guidelines, policies, legal frameworks and Police Regulations to ensure the provision of high quality, accurate advice.
- Ensure employment relations matters are progressing in a timely manner, liaising between managers, Occupational Health and other stakeholders as required and supporting the HR Business Partners in maintaining the HR Case log tracker.
- Assist HR Business Partners with preparation and coordination of Local Resources Planning Meetings and Local Attendance and Health Meetings, on a monthly basis.
- Work with the HR Business Partners and Occupational Health to ensure that all Recuperative and Adjusted Duties officers are reassessed in a timely manner and are being managed appropriately.

Requirements
Your application will be scored against the criteria listed below for shortlisting. Please ensure that you reference your ability, knowledge and experience against these points in your application.
- Significant HR generalist knowledge including good knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
- Experience of dealing with staff at all levels up to and including senior managers.
- A successful track record in providing HR generalist work in a large, multi disciplined organisation.
- Experience in developing good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- A challenging, dynamic and creative team player who is collaborative in their approach.
Professional Qualifications / Relevant Education & Training
Graduate Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) Level 3
or working towards this qualification.
This vacancy is open only to those who have the right to work in the UK. Also, due to this role requiring MV/SC level vetting, you need to have continuously resided in the UK for the last 5 years. This residency needs to be in the immediate 5 years prior to this application.
