Job Opportunity: Human Resources Advisor

We are partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Human Resources Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional to join a busy and collaborative people team, providing expert HR support across a diverse workforce.

The successful candidate will offer generalist HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle while taking a lead role in supporting employee relations matters, people management coaching, policy implementation, and HR best practice.

This role requires a confident HR professional who can build strong working relationships with managers at all levels and contribute to both operational and strategic people initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to termination of employment.
  • Support and advise managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management cases.
  • Monitor absence levels and provide regular reporting, insight and recommendations to management teams.
  • Deliver HR training, coaching and guidance to managers to support effective people management and compliance.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including appraisals, development discussions and improvement plans.
  • Support the review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Coordinate onboarding, right-to-work checks and employment screening activities.
  • Produce HR reports, analyse people data and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives that support organisational objectives.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience working in an HR Advisor or Generalist HR role.
  • Strong employee relations knowledge and practical experience managing casework.
  • Up-to-date understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Good IT skills, including experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK on occasion, including some overnight stays.
  • The ability to pass pre-employment vetting and screening checks.
