HR Advisor
Location: South Shields and Wallsend
Salary: £39,669 - £47,439 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR Advisor to join our HR team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will provide a professional generalist HR advisory service across the College, supporting managers and employees on a wide range of people matters while contributing to strategic workforce initiatives.
About the Role
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will work closely with leaders across curriculum and professional service areas, providing expert advice on employee relations, organisational change, recruitment, attendance management, policy development and employment legislation. You will manage a diverse caseload, coach managers through complex people issues and contribute to the development of a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

A key aspect of this role is leading the College's staff wellbeing agenda, including coordinating wellbeing initiatives, analysing workforce data and maintaining the College's participation in the Better Health at Work Award.
About You
We are looking for an HR professional who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience providing a generalist HR advisory service within a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practice and employee relations.
- Experience managing a varied HR casework portfolio independently.
- The ability to influence, challenge and support managers at all levels.
- Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
- Experience of using HR systems and workforce data to identify trends and inform action.
- A commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and safeguarding.

You will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification or above (or equivalent experience) and be passionate about delivering a professional, customer-focused HR service.
