Are you passionate about guiding managers, resolving employee relations cases, and creating workplace experiences that bring out the best in people? We are looking for a dedicated HR Advisor to join our team in Basingstoke. As a frontline people partner, you will play a critical role in delivering seamless HR operations, championing company culture, and ensuring our people strategy aligns with our overall business goals.

If you are a skilled HR generalist with a strong foundation in employee relations, a solid grasp of UK employment law, and a passion for supporting people at every stage of their career journey, this is the perfect next step for your HR career.

What Your Day Will Look Like

As an HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted advisor to management and employees across the organisation, providing clear advice on a wide range of HR topics while reporting directly to the Senior HR Business Partner.

  • Coaching a manager through a performance improvement plan
  • Handling an employee relations case (disciplinary, grievance, or absence management)
  • Updating HR policies to keep pace with changing employment legislation
  • Drafting offer letters and onboarding new hires
  • Analysing turnover trends in Workday
  • Coordinating interactive learning workshops and employee engagement activities

Your Background

You don't need to tick every box, but we're generally looking for:

Core Skills & Expertise

  • HR Experience: 2–4 years of generalist HR experience, with hands-on practice managing end-to-end ER casework (disciplinaries, grievances, PIPs, and absence management)
  • Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Employment Law: Strong working knowledge of local labor regulations, policy maintenance, and workplace compliance
  • Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms, alongside MS Office / Google Workspace

Competent / Working Knowledge

  • Supporting annual performance management, bonus cycles, and manager coaching
  • Talent acquisition support, including interviewing, offer creation, and onboarding execution
