Competitive salary available, depending on experience
37.5 hours per week

Nuffield Health is the charity that’s building a healthier nation, one day at a time. From award-winning hospitals and leisure facilities to flagship community programmes, we’ll do whatever it takes to support the UK’s wellbeing. It starts with passion, commitment to quality — and it starts with you.

We’re looking for an experienced HR Adviser with a strong employee relations focus to join our People Team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders to manage a broad range of complex people matters, providing expert, pragmatic advice and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.

This is a key role where you’ll take ownership of ER casework, support organisational change initiatives, and play an active role in consultation processes. You’ll bring confidence in handling sensitive issues, strong employment law knowledge, and the ability to influence and coach managers through challenging situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on a wide range of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance and wellbeing matters
  • Provide expert, risk-based advice to managers, ensuring outcomes are fair, consistent, and legally compliant
  • Coach, support and challenge leaders to build capability and confidence in managing complex people issues
  • Prepare high-quality case documentation, including outcome letters, investigation reports, and management guidance
  • Manage cases end-to-end through the HR case management system, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely resolution
  • Identify trends in ER activity and proactively recommend improvements to reduce risk and enhance employee experience
  • Work collaboratively with HRBPs, legal advisors, occupational health, and other stakeholders on complex or high-risk cases

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
