Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our Mountain Warehouse operation in Peterborough. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, where you'll provide a proactive and commercially focused HR service, supporting managers and colleagues across a busy and growing logistics operation.
Working closely with the HR Manager, you'll help deliver the site People Plan, support employee engagement initiatives and ensure best-practice HR support is provided across all areas of the employee lifecycle.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management cases, ensuring a consistent and legally compliant approach
- Coach and develop managers across all levels of the business, building capability and confidence in people management while promoting best-practice HR processes
- Manage key employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment support, onboarding, probation reviews, colleague development and leaver processes
- Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives, helping to drive a positive culture and improve retention across the operation
- Produce and analyse HR metrics and management information, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement while supporting the delivery of the site People Plan
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a HR Advisor or HR Generalist role within a fast-paced operational, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations processes, with experience managing a wide range of ER cases
- Experience coaching and influencing managers, with the ability to challenge constructively and build credibility at all levels
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience producing accurate reporting and meaningful insights
- Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards qualification, with strong Microsoft Office skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
