HR Advisor
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £32k - £45k + excellent benefits
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Head of HR & Organisational Development
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to provide professional HR support across the organisation. This is a varied generalist role, supporting managers and employees on employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence, and performance management.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities.
- Coordinate payroll and pension administration, working with Finance and external providers.
- Maintain HR systems, records, and workforce data.
- Develop and update HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Lead and support learning and development initiatives.
- Advise on right to work, immigration, and sponsorship requirements.
- Support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.

- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
