Senior HR Advisor

Temp / Temp to perm - must be able to start wc 10th Aug


The Role

You'll be part of a supportive HR team, providing operational HR support across multiple school sites. This is a varied role involving both office-based and on-site HR support, working closely with managers and staff on a range of employee relations matters.


Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing HR casework including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, safeguarding matters and absence management
  • Supporting managers with employee relations issues
  • Attending hearings and formal meetings
  • Advising on HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting safeguarding and compliance requirements
  • Maintaining and supporting Single Central Record (SCR) compliance
  • Assisting schools during inspections and audits
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders (2 Head Teachers) across 2 Secondary Schools (400 stakeholders)

Candidate Profile

We're Keen To Hear From Candidates Who Have

  • Previous HR Advisor or HR Officer experience with hands-on casework
  • Strong employee relations knowledge
  • Experience within the education sector (schools, academies or multi-academy trusts preferred) or safeguarding environment
  • Knowledge of Ofsted and Single Central Record (SCR) requirements would be highly beneficial
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • CIPD Level 5 (preferred)

Working Arrangements

Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid working, with some remote working available

Travel: Occasional travel between local sites may be required, with mileage reimbursed


Contract

  • Initial 10-week temporary assignment
  • Potential opportunity to be considered for a permanent position following the temporary period
