Position Overview

The HR Advisor plays a key role in delivering professional HR services across the EMEA region. Working closely with managers and employees, the role provides first-line HR advice and guidance across the employee lifecycle while supporting the consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.

This is a varied generalist role that combines operational HR delivery with employee relations support, HR administration oversight, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple countries, balancing day-to-day operational priorities with broader HR projects and business initiatives.

The role requires sound HR knowledge, strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the EMEA HR inbox, providing timely and accurate advice to managers and employees, escalating complex or high-risk matters where appropriate.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact for managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, employment legislation, and best practice across the employee lifecycle.
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters including absence management, performance management, disciplinary, grievance, probation, flexible working, and family-friendly policies, escalating more complex cases as required.
  • Manage and support employee relations processes, including preparing documentation, attending meetings, taking notes, and ensuring actions are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Support and continuously improve onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes to deliver a positive employee experience.
  • Manage probation processes, providing guidance to managers, monitoring completion, and ensuring appropriate outcomes are documented.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, template letters, guidance documents, and process documentation to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Act as a key user for the HRIS, ensuring data integrity, producing HR reports, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve system processes.
  • Manage payroll, benefits, and HR administration activities, ensuring data is processed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Manage family-friendly leave processes, including maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
  • Support recruitment activities where required, including offer management and pre-employment processes.
  • Analyse HR data and management information to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to the delivery of HR initiatives and projects, including policy implementation, process improvements, employee engagement activities, and organisational change.
  • Build effective working relationships with managers and colleagues across the business to promote a positive employee experience.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Undertake additional duties and participate in HR projects as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
