Job Purpose
We’re looking for an experienced, proactive HR Advisor to become a visible and trusted partner to our teams at GP Acoustics (UK) Ltd under the Celestion brand in Claydon, Ipswich.
As the site HR lead, you’ll provide practical, commercially focused advice across the employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, manager coaching and building an engaged, high-performing culture.
Reporting remotely to the Senior HR Manager, you’ll work independently, communicate proactively and be fully embedded in the day-to-day business.
Location - Ipswich
This is an office-based role, available across four or five days per week. The ideal candidate will live within an easy commute of the office.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Lead employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance matters.
- Proactively advise and coach managers on people related issues that includes effectively managing performance and capability issues, investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant processes.
- Provide pragmatic advice that balances employee needs, business priorities and risk.

Team Integration
- Build trusted relationships and maintain a visible, approachable presence across operational teams.
- Coach managers and deliver practical, bite-sized learning with the Senior HR Manager.
- Promote collaboration, accountability and open communication.
General HR Support
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance, talent and succession activity.
- Contribute to organisational change, consultation, engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR records and help improve policies, processes and projects.
- Supporting administration of employee benefits and reporting.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law, company policies and audit requirements.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and keep up to date with HR best practice.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Strong generalist HR and employee relations experience, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or another operational environment.
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Confident coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
- Excellent communication, judgement and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
