HR Advisor/HR Business Partner
2-Month Contract | Hybrid Working

A leading media organisation is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their People team on an initial two-month contract. Operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment, the business requires an HR professional with strong employee relations expertise to support managers through a period of organisational change and transformation.
Your new role
Reporting into the HR leadership team, you will provide expert HR advice and support across a broad range of employee relations matters, with a particular focus on redundancy programmes, consultation processes and employment law.
This is a hands-on role where you'll partner closely with managers, providing pragmatic and commercially focused guidance whilst ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a variety of employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability and absence matters.
- Leading and supporting redundancy and organisational change programmes.
- Managing individual and collective consultation processes from planning through to implementation.
- Advising managers on employment law, HR policy and best practice.
- Coaching and supporting leaders to effectively manage people-related issues.
- Supporting restructures, organisational design and workforce planning activities.
- Preparing HR documentation, consultation materials and outcome letters.
- Ensuring all HR activity is compliant, consistent and aligned to current legislation.
- Partnering with stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that support both business and employee outcomes.
- Supporting wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience operating at HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level.
- Strong employee relations experience, including complex case management.
- Demonstrable experience supporting redundancy, restructuring and consultation processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with managers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience would be advantageous.
