About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join a well-established professional services business based in Southampton. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to a dynamic and inclusive workplace environment. The HR Advisor will play a vital role in supporting managers and employees across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience within a generalist HR role, ideally at the HR Advisor level. Relevant qualifications such as CIPD Level 3 are essential, with a strong preference for candidates studying towards Level 5 or possessing equivalent practical experience. A comprehensive understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices is required to effectively manage employee relations and compliance matters. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial, enabling the candidate to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. The candidate must be highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused mindset is essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Providing proactive HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, ensuring adherence to employment legislation and company policies.
  • Supporting employee relations casework, including disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, absence management, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Managing recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding activities to deliver a seamless candidate and new starter experience.
  • Coordinating employee benefits administration, including annual renewals and liaising with external providers and brokers to ensure competitive and compliant benefits packages.
  • Assisting with HR projects, policy reviews, process improvements, and learning and development initiatives to foster a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and supporting the delivery of key people-related reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
