Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair.
Are you passionate about employee relations and providing practical HR support that makes a difference? We're looking for a HR Advisor to join our collaborative HR Service Centre team at Farnell & Avnet.
Based from our Head Office in Leeds, this hybrid role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of HR activities, supporting managers and employees across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality HR advice, managing employee relations cases, and contributing to a variety of people-focused projects and initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving people challenges, and is looking to broaden their HR experience within a global organisation.
Please note: this is a hybrid role and you will be expected to work from the Leeds office 3 days per week. Occasional travel to other company locations may be required.

What will you be doing?
As an HR Advisor, you will:
- Provide professional advice and guidance to managers and HR Business Partners on a wide range of employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation
- Support organisational, people, policy, and process improvement initiatives across the HR function
- Coach and guide managers through employee relations activities, helping them achieve positive and compliant outcomes
- Manage employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances, performance concerns, and absence issues
- Advise employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records and documentation
- Support HR projects and business initiatives, collaborating with colleagues across the wider HR team
- Assist with the development and continuous improvement of HR processes and ways of working
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Travel occasionally within the UK as required
What we're looking for?

- Good knowledge of UK employment law, particularly within employee relations
- Experience of managing employee relations cases from initial consultation through to resolution
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgement and discretion
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
- Experience using HR or case management systems would be advantageous
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent HR experience) would be advantageous
