About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor to join our client's dynamic team based in Sutton Coldfield. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across multiple functions, including employee relations, policy development, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organization while developing your HR expertise in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience in a professional HR advisory role, demonstrating a strong background in employee relations and HR support. A CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification is essential, or candidates currently working towards one will also be considered. Candidates should have proven experience in advising and coaching managers, managing complex employee issues, and implementing effective HR systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are also required to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient process management.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for general HR and people-related inquiries, providing timely and professional support to staff and management.
- Manage a diverse and frequently changing employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance, and capability issues.
- Prepare, review, and maintain HR documentation such as policies, procedures, employment contracts, and correspondence related to formal processes.
- Offer guidance and support on absence management and facilitate both formal and informal workplace meetings to address employee concerns.
- Conduct thorough investigations into disciplinary, grievance, attendance, and capability matters, producing detailed reports and actionable recommendations.
- Represent the organization at formal hearings when necessary, presenting findings and advising involved parties on appropriate procedures.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and hearings, including scheduling, issuing invitations, preparing documentation, and assembling meeting packs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, databases, and internal HR systems, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
- Occasionally travel to other local sites to provide in-person HR support and facilitate effective communication across locations.
- Assist with general administrative duties to support the smooth day-to-day operations of the HR department and the broader organization.
