Your HR Expertise. Our People. A Great Place to Work.
Good HR advice does more than keep an organisation compliant. It helps a manager handle a difficult conversation well, gets a colleague back to work with the right support and turns a concern into a fair outcome everyone can move forward from.
That's the difference you'll make as our HR Advisor. Working in our small HR and Organisation Development (OD) shared service team, you'll manage your own employee relations caseload and give clear, practical advice to managers and colleagues across Curo. You'll coach managers to handle everyday people matters themselves, so they lead their teams with confidence. Employee relations is at the heart of this role and will take up most of your week, so it's ideal if casework is the part of HR you enjoy most.
You won't face the toughest cases alone. You'll work alongside our HR Business Partners on complex cases, building your experience as you go. If you're keen to grow your HR career, this role gives you real breadth across employee relations, policy, people data and the full employee lifecycle.
What you'll be doing
- Managing your own caseload of employee relations cases, including absence, probation, performance, routine disciplinaries, grievances and flexible working
- Advising and coaching managers so they can handle everyday people matters themselves, using the right guidance and self-service tools
- Escalating cases involving senior managers, potential dismissal or legal risk to our HR Business Partners
- Keeping accurate case records and using case trends and feedback to spot issues early and improve how we work
- Helping keep HR policies, workflows and toolkits compliant, clear and easy to use
- Supporting colleagues and managers at every stage of employment, from onboarding to leaving Curo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
