Artis HR are delighted to be supporting an innovative engineering and technology business with the recruitment of an HR Advisor to join their growing HR team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who enjoys variety and wants to be involved in every aspect of the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR Director and HR Business Partner, you'll have the chance to make a real impact while developing your career towards a future Business Partner role.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers across the business.
  • Managing a range of employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance and flexible working.
  • Supporting recruitment activity, from advising hiring managers through to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Leading on occupational health referrals and return to work processes.
  • Supporting performance management and coaching managers through challenging conversations.
  • Updating and improving HR policies and processes.
  • Supporting engagement, wellbeing and people projects across the business.
  • Assisting with salary reviews, bonus administration and international payroll activity.
  • Producing HR reports and using people data to identify trends and support decision making.

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on HR role and is comfortable building strong relationships across the business.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
  • Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing cases independently.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and the wider employee lifecycle.
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to suggest improvements and challenge where appropriate.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) would be advantageous.
  • Industry experience isn't essential. We're much more interested in finding someone with the right HR experience, attitude and a collaborative approach.
