At Pilgrim's Europe, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Advisor to join our HR team and support the delivery of an effective, efficient, and people-focused HR service.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their generalist HR experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting managers, driving employee engagement, managing employee relations matters, and contributing to the delivery of our people strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

As HR Advisor, you'll support the day-to-day HR operation across the site and provide practical, compliant HR guidance to managers and employees.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Providing HR advice and support across a range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability cases.
  • Coaching and supporting managers to ensure policies, procedures, and employment legislation are applied consistently.
  • Managing occupational health referrals and supporting managers with implementing recommendations.
  • Supporting absence management processes and driving initiatives to reduce absence levels.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, working closely with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Coordinating employee engagement activities and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Supporting apprenticeship programmes and local talent pipeline initiatives.
  • Assisting with ethical audits, compliance reporting, and customer requirements.
  • Supporting learning and development activities to drive training compliance across the site.
  • Participating in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a confident and approachable HR professional who enjoys building relationships and making a positive impact within the business.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist, or similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience handling employee relations cases.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience using HR systems.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Desirable

  • CIPD qualification or currently working towards CIPD accreditation.
  • Experience within manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environments.
