About Us
At Pilgrim's Europe, we believe our people are the key to delivering business success. We are looking for a credible, proactive, and people-focused HR Advisor to join our HR Team. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will play a vital role in delivering an effective and efficient HR advisory service, supporting both operational and strategic people objectives while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and best practice.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to partner with managers across the business, influence positive people outcomes, and contribute to creating a high-performing and engaged workforce.
What You'll Do
Employee Relations
- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters.
- Manage disciplinary, grievance, capability, and conduct cases in line with company policies and employment legislation.
- Support managers to achieve timely and effective case resolution.
- Assist in driving a positive employee relations culture across the site.

Absence Management
- Partner with managers to reduce absence levels and support attendance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate sickness absence management processes, including return-to-work support and occupational health referrals.
- Maintain accurate absence records and support delivery of site absence KPIs.
HR Systems & Administration
- Ensure employee records and HR systems are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Produce and maintain HR documentation in line with GDPR and company requirements.
- Support reporting and people metrics to aid decision-making.
Learning & Development
- Support the delivery of training compliance across all departments.
- Work collaboratively with Learning & Development teams to maximise employee development opportunities.
- Assist managers in identifying capability and development needs.
Compliance & Audits
- Support ethical, customer, and compliance audits including SEDEX requirements.
- Ensure HR processes remain compliant with employment legislation and internal standards.
- Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation and records.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing
- Actively support health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives across the site.
- Promote a culture of safety and employee wellbeing aligned with our values and standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in an HR Advisory or HR Generalist role.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience handling employee relations cases from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- CIPD qualification or working towards CIPD is desirable.
- Experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or fast-paced operational environment would be advantageous.
