About The Role

The HR Advisor position is an integral part of a well-established professional services organization based in Southampton. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional to contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR services across the organization, supporting both operational HR activities and strategic projects. The role provides broad exposure to the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and engagement initiatives. Working closely with HR Business Partners and management, the HR Advisor will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, promoting employee wellbeing, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a CIPD Level 5 qualification or be actively working towards this certification. Previous experience in an HR Advisor or HR Generalist role is essential, with a solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices. Candidates should demonstrate experience in supporting employee relations, performance management, and HR data analysis. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, proficiency in using HRIS systems and maintaining employee data in compliance with GDPR is highly desirable. The candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and able to handle multiple priorities effectively, demonstrating a commitment to delivering a professional HR service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees, providing expert advice on HR policies, employment law, and procedures.
  • Support employee relations activities, including managing absence, conducting investigations, and implementing wellbeing initiatives.
  • Analyze HR data and generate reports to identify trends, support decision-making, and inform strategic planning.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with employee engagement initiatives, organizational development projects, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, ensuring they are integrated into daily HR practices.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience, reducing turnover, and fostering a positive workplace environment.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data privacy standards.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
