With a strong commitment to delivering high-quality HR service and creating a positive working environment, the organisation is seeking an experienced ER/HR Advisor to join its dedicated People team. Your New Role
As HR Advisor, you will provide practical and professional advice across the full employee lifecycle with a strong focus on ER - supporting managers and employees on a broad range of ER and HR matters. This is a permanent post.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
- Supporting employee relations matters including absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and capability cases.
- Maintaining accurate workforce records and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
- Supporting right to work and immigration compliance processes where required.
- Managing and maintaining employee information within the HR Information System (HRIS).
- Producing workforce reports and management information to support business decision-making.
- Monitoring workforce trends, compliance requirements and employee data.
- Supporting HR projects and initiatives.
- Reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with employment law and best practice.
- Building effective relationships with managers and providing practical solutions to people-related challenges.

This is an office-based role in Cheltenham that requires some travel to operational sites, providing hands-on HR support directly to managers and employees.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- CIPD Level 5 qualification ideally, be working towards CIPD Level 5, or have equivalent HR experience.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisory role.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
- Practical experience managing employee relations cases.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High levels of attention to detail and professionalism.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of sponsorship, immigration compliance and right to work requirements.
- Experience producing and analysing HR data and workforce reporting.
