Job Description
At Radius, our people drive our growth. As a HR Advisor (People Advisor), you will be a key part of our People Services team, supporting managers and colleagues across the business with practical, commercial, and people-focused advice.
Reporting to the Head of People Advisory & Operations, you will work across the full employee lifecycle, providing guidance, building manager capability, and helping us create a consistent, positive experience for our people in a fast-growing global organisation.
This is a broad, hands-on generalist role for someone who enjoys variety, ownership, and being close to the business.
You'll be based from our Crewe head office site. It is a fully office-based role, working Monday to Friday alongside the team and the wider People Department.
What you’ll be doing...
- Provide day-to-day people advice and coaching to managers and employees across the Radius Group.
- Manage a varied caseload covering absence, performance, conduct, wellbeing, and employee queries.
- Support managers with long-term absence cases, including welfare meetings, occupational health referrals, return-to-work planning, and capability processes.
- Advise on family-friendly policies including maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave.
- Own your caseload, delivering a high-quality, timely service and escalating complex matters when required.
- Attend formal people meetings as a representative and note-taker.
- Maintain accurate people data in our HR systems and champion data quality across People Services.
- Review and improve people policies, processes, and documentation to ensure best practice and legal compliance.
- Support and coach People Associates, acting as a point of escalation and sharing knowledge to build capability across the team.
- Contribute to wider People projects such as engagement surveys, Investors in People, and initiatives aligned to our People strategy.
What we're looking for...
- Proven experience working in a generalist HR or People Advisor role within a commercial environment.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law with experience handling a wide range of people matters.
- CIPD qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and a varied workload.
- Strong attention to detail with experience using HR systems and working with data.
- Clear, confident communicator who can influence, coach, and build trusted relationships.
- A collaborative team player who supports the development of others.
- Accountable, resilient, and solutions-focused when challenges arise.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation.
- Motivated, energetic, and committed to continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
