The Vacancy
Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a real impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment?
At De La Rue, we are seeking a proactive HR Advisor to join our HR team at our manufacturing site in Debden, Essex. As the HR Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting operational and strategic HR objectives, working with managers to deliver effective people solutions and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures. You’ll work closely with the wider HR team while acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management teams within the area in the implementation and application of HR procedures such as disciplinary and grievance, performance management, absence management, redundancy process etc.
- Manage the recruitment activity for the site, working closely with management teams and third parties
- Provide support on employee relations issues, escalating as appropriate
- Own and lead on specific employee relations issues as directed by Lead HR Business Partner.
- Manage all maternity, paternity and other family related absences
- Management of persistent short-term absence and long-term absence, including communication with Occupational Health and supporting line managers to provide appropriate solutions.
- Create, review and update HR policies and procedures in line with UK legislation.
- Management of payroll processing for the site, ensuring all monthly payroll changes are input with a high degree of accuracy and records are maintained on our internal HR system.

Day working shift – 37.5 hrs per week (08:00am – 4:00pm Mon - Fri)

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- CIPD qualification (desirable)
- Degree level education or equivalent (desirable)
- Broad generalist HR experience, including payroll
- Some experience in dealing with all aspects of HR practice including grievances and disciplinary procedures, absence management, consultation, employee relations issues, recruitment and selection, training, compensation and benefits and talent management
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest level in order to develop stakeholder relationships
- Assertive yet professional in dealing with requests
- Good understanding of relevant employment legislation
- Able to manage change with drive for continuous improvement
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
