HR Advisor role - Egham, Surrey (3 days per week on site) £38,000 - £46,000 + £2,500 London Weighting Allowance

6 Month FTC with potential to become permanent

Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong Employee Relations background and experience working in a unionised environment? We are seeking an HR Advisor to join a well-established organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting managers through a varied caseload of complex ER matters while helping to shape and influence people practices during a period of change.

The Role

As Part Of a Collaborative HR Team, You Will

  • Manage a broad range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management and capability matters.
  • Provide pragmatic and legally compliant HR advice to managers and stakeholders.
  • Build positive relationships with recognised trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and workforce projects.
  • Contribute to the review and development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of employment law developments, including forthcoming Employment Rights Act changes.

About You

We are keen to hear from HR professionals who can demonstrate:

  • Proven HR Advisory-level experience.
  • Strong employee relations expertise, including handling complex cases independently.
  • Experience working within a unionised environment.
  • Up-to-date employment law knowledge.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Previous policy development experience would be highly advantageous.

Seeking applications from complex unionised environments such as Public Sector, Charities, Not-for-Profit organisations, or commercial environments.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary: £38,000 - £46,000 plus £2,500 London Weighting Allowance.
  • 35-hour working week.
  • Hybrid working with 3 days per week on site.
  • 27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and additional closure days over Christmas and Easter.
  • Pension Scheme with employer contribution of 14%.
  • Potential opportunity for the role to become permanent.
